Who we are
SWM (See With Me) is operated by Chayanne Gonzalez ("we", "us"), acting as the data controller for personal data you provide when using the Service.
Data we collect
- Account data — email address, password hash, chosen display preferences, language.
- Itinerary data — trips, saved places, route preferences, and notes you create in the app.
- Place submissions — venue suggestions and any contact email you choose to attach.
- Usage & technical data — IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, error logs.
- Support communications — messages you send to support@seewithme.life.
- Payment data — handled directly by our payment provider Paddle; we receive only a transaction reference, subscription status, and the email used at checkout.
How we use it & legal basis
- Provide the Service — create your account, store your trips, render the map and translations. Legal basis: performance of contract.
- Security & fraud prevention — rate limiting, abuse detection, audit logs. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Product improvement — aggregated analytics on feature usage. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
- Support — responding to your inquiries. Legal basis: performance of contract.
- Legal compliance — tax, accounting, lawful requests. Legal basis: legal obligation.
Who we share data with
- Paddle — our Merchant of Record. Paddle processes payments, handles invoicing, tax compliance, refunds, and subscription management.
- Hosting & infrastructure providers — Lovable Cloud (powered by Supabase) for database, authentication, and storage; Cloudflare for content delivery.
- AI providers — translation and itinerary generation prompts may be processed by Google Gemini or OpenAI via the Lovable AI gateway; we do not send your account credentials.
- Maps providers — Google Maps Platform for place search, Street View, and routing.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting advisers, where strictly necessary.
- Authorities — when required by law or court order.
Data retention
We keep account and itinerary data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or accounting purposes.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where data leaves the UK or EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data; to object to certain processing; to withdraw consent at any time; and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, email support@seewithme.life. We respond within one month.
Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures — including encryption in transit (HTTPS), encryption at rest, access controls, and row-level security on user data — to protect your information. No system is 100% secure; please use a strong, unique password.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences (e.g. language). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
