We grew up riding these subways and crossing these bridges. We've walked the High Line on summer nights, taken the PATH to MetLife in the cold, eaten too many slices at Joe's, and argued about pizza for years. When the tournament got awarded to NY/NJ we wanted a guide that talked like a friend who actually lives here — not a sponsored top-10 list.
Where the recs come from
Every venue, route, and tip is either from our own first-hand experience or from friends we've asked who know a specific neighborhood, cuisine, or scene better than we do. Transit details come from public NJ Transit / MTA / PATH info, FIFA's published fan festival schedule, and the NY/NJ Host Committee's public PDFs. We update as we learn — and we'll always credit a friend who put us on something good.
